The Fudoshin Challenge is a team competition designed exclusively to promote the technical and emotional development of all participants. Matches have no points and competitors are not told the exact length of their matches in advance.
Every competitor will experience the thrill of having his or her arm raised in victory.
Under the supervision of Grandmaster Hélio Gracie, this challenge was elaborated to test students’ technique and reflexes as they perform defenses against randomly selected stand up attacks. The attacks are executed in a realistic manner by the professors and expert judges award points based on the participants’ precision, technical proficiency, timing and realism. After three rounds the top four contestants are announced to the audience.
A day celebrating the legacy of Hélio Gracie, our beloved teacher and pioneer who dedicated his life to developing, proving, and teaching a system of self-defense which allows an individual of any physical ability to gain self-confidence through the knowledge that they can defend themselves.
